Eighty-five and time for life changes. Forty-two plus years living on the lake and now we “two fools”, on April Fools Day, are planning to move into senior independent living accommodations.
What would you do to prepare? Throw tax records from 1958, first year as a teacher? Keep pictures representative of your life? Adjust your end to reduced living space? Perhaps each of these ideas.
Currently we live in a modest sized home. Our new home will be much reduced. In fact, as the picture indicates, even the bathroom is rather small. (Hope you know this is a joke.) Couldn’t avoid taking the picture today, however, when we were checking out our new home.
Moral of this piece. Look for the funny, cheery, happy parts of change. A smile on your face, reduces the tears in your heart.
